Meeting of Women for Africa’s Board of Trustees

Tuesday, 10th January. The Women for Africa Foundation’s Board of Trustees met this morning in Madrid. Chaired by María Teresa Fernández de la Vega, the meeting was also attended by Ana Botín, the President of Banco Santander; Borja Prado, the President of Endesa; Mohamed H. Bouamatou, the President of Banque de Mauritanie; Antonio Huertas, President of MAPFRE; Cristina Álvarez, Vice President of the Ramón Areces Foundation; Juan Manuel Cendoya, the Vice President of Santander España; Mónica Martínez Walter, President of GMV; Vicente Boluda, President of Boluda Corporación Marítima, and Esther Pastor, who will be taking over as the latter company’s representative on the board of trustees; Miguel Ángel Moratinos and Ángeles Puerta as individual trustees; Javier Roglá, Director of Santander Universidades; and Marta Villa, Director General of Women for Africa.

During the meeting, the trustees dealt with the report presented by the foundation’s president on the five years of history that Women for Africa will have made on 8th February, and the prospects for the following five years. These will be reflected in the strategic plan that the foundation is drawing up to be presented to the Board of Trustees this quarter.

The meeting was held in Banco Santander’s head offices on Paseo de la Castellana. Women for Africa is grateful for this kind gesture.
