Ethiopian at Women for Africa

Ethiopian at Women for Africa

The Women for Africa Foundation has been visited by Mr Alemu Bekele, Area Manager for Spain for the airline Ethiopian, who was accompanied by their general director, María Teresa de Dios.

They were both welcomed by our president, María Teresa Fernández de la Vega, with whom they held a meeting in which they explored different ways for the two entities to collaborate.

Ethiopian Airlines is the biggest airline in Africa and it has stood out for its particular sensitivity regarding matters related to equality between men and women. Indeed, last 19th November they made a flight from Addis Ababa to Bangkok entirely handled by women both on land and in the air. In fact, they have an aviation academy in which many women are trained.
