Boluda Corporación Marítima and GMV join the MxA board of trustees

Tuesday, 8th September, 2015. Women for Africa (MxA) welcomes Boluda Corporación Marítima and GMV Innovating Solutions, who have recently joined our Board of Trustees to support the work done by the foundation in fostering development in Africa through the continent’s Women.

At MxA we would like to thank both companies for their generosity and support, and especially their presidents, Vicente Boluda and Monica Martinez Walter respectively, who join the board as members of our governing body.

For over 15 years, Boluda has had ties with Africa, where it carries out significant humanitarian work with its Corporate Social Responsibility programme "Humanitarian Transport", through which it collaborates with several NGOs. It signed the United Nations Global Compact in June 2012.

An exemplary company in global maritime services, Boluda Corporación Marítima is present around the entire Spanish coast, Portugal, France, Italy, the West Coast of Africa, the Indian Ocean and Latin America.

For its part, GMV is a technological business group that also has an international presence. Founded in 1984, it offers solutions, services and products in different sectors such as aeronautics, finance, health and telecommunications.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, GMV takes particular care of university education and research, to which it devotes 10% of its revenue.

With Boluda and GMV joining the foundation’s board of trustees, there are now 14 companies that are part of Women for Africa’s governing body.
