Views: Development Policies

NOMBRE DEL PROYECTO: Views: Development Policies

PAÍS/CIUDAD: Spain / Madrid

DURACIÓN: 2014 and onwards

Promoting debate and an exchange of ideas and reflection about the challenges faced by our globalised world has to be an aim of any organisation dedicated to development such as the Women for Africa Foundation.

The activity that we have called Views is a response to this challenge. It is an international meeting on development policies with renowned national and international experts taking part, dedicated to matters of development policies. In order to hold it, we can count on the collaboration of the Madrid Complutense University and the Ramón Areces Foundation.

The first Views gathering, headed by the Complutense University Professor of Applied Economics, José Antonio Alonso, was held in Madrid on 29th and 30th October 2013, addressing the matter of "Public Goods and International Governance".

In September 2016, a new edition of Views was held in Madrid. It dealt with one of the matters of most concern in these times of global community: inequality.
